Unreasonable behavior

There can be a lot of reasons and causes for a couple going for a divorce. The separation agreement can just be an initial process for the husband and wife to take a broader look at their mindset and see if they can get back to each other and end the dispute.

Unreasonable behavior is undoubtedly the most common reason given for divorce. It includes reasons like:

The unreasonable behavior is difficult to prove in the court of law, though there is a provision to state the reason in the statement given during the petition of the court and then if the court is satisfied with the reason, the divorce proceedings will start.

There is time limit by which the reason of the divorce is to be proved in front of attorney with the help of the evidence or proof against the other spouse or if the other partner himself agrees on the allegations put up by the opposite party.

Other aspect of behavior is the one which is socially not expected, which can be, mental and verbal abuse, extreme of domestic violence, relationship dispute between the couple due to some other person, lack of communication and refusal to socialize with friends and family.

If both the parties are filing a petition for unreasonable behavior, then it is unlikely that the family court will contest the separation. However, if one of the parties disagrees, then the court would be forced to scrutinize the claim and pass the judgment according to the situation seeing both the sides.

A time edge of six months is obligatory amid when the act of unreasonable behavior took place and when the partner applies for legal separation, but this time limit is only applicable if the couples continue to live together.
