North Dakota Divorce Support

North Dakota divorce support regulations are applicable for all the couples who have applied for legal separation in court of law. In North Dakota the issue of child support is settled by the court as per North Dakota Century Code - Volume 3A - Chapters: 14-08-07, 14-09-08, 14-09-08, 14-09-09. In this state the child support is calculated by the court on the basis of the Income Shares Model. In this process the required amount for the child support is decided by the court according to the worksheet and after considering the best interests of the child. Then this required amount is divided between the two parents as per their earning and then these two amounts are offset to decide who will pay for the child support.

ND property division in divorce – In the state of North Dakota, properties are distributed between the spouses by the court according to North Dakota Century Code - Volume 3A - Chapters: 14-05-24. As North Dakota is an ‘Equitable Distribution’ state, all the marital properties of the couple are equitably distributed between the spouses by the court.
